Deacon Luta Nsubuga was ordained to the priesthood May 21 by Bishop Skylstad at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, Spokane.

He completed his theology studies this year at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

In addition, Father Nsubuga holds a degree in biology from Washington State University.

He begins his first assignment July 1, as parochial vicar of St. Thomas More Parish, Spokane.
