Charismatic Renewal conference is June 18-19 at Gonzaga Prepthe Inland Register (From the May 20, 2010 edition of the Inland Register)
Featured speaker will be Oblate Father Richard McAlear. The conference takes as its theme Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” The conference begins Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. and concludes after a 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday. Saturday, June 19: According to conference materials, healing ministry “is rooted in a Scriptural understanding that the human individual needs to become whole. This healing is both mental and emotional, and is blessed through prayer which touches the hearts of those in need of God’s love and compassion.”
Father McAlear became involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in 1972 and with healing ministry in 1976. He has since ministered throughout the world, including the United States, Asia, South America, Canada, Australia, New Guinea, Guatemala, Italy, France, Portugal and Scotland. Since seating is limited, advance registration is encouraged. There is no set charge for attendance; free-will donations will be accepted.
