On Friday, Feb. 19, St. Patrick School in Spokane began the first of six consecutive Friday Lenten Fish Dinners after the Stations of the Cross in St. Patrick Church. Student waitresses, known as the “Mermaids,” served the many hungry guests in the school cafeteria a delicious dinner featuring a secret recipe of beer-battered, deep-fried cod.
