On Oct. 10, Immaculate Heart Retreat Center celebrated its 50th anniversary with a Diocesan Mary Day, sponsored in part by the Catholic Cemeteries of Spokane. Approximately 200 people attended. Among them was founding member Laura Trezona, 100 yars old, who walked the procession and remained throughout the event. She was joined by Religious, clergy, seminarians, and represenatives of the Knights of Columbus, as well as police and Boy Scouts. Bishop Skylstad presided over the procession to the Rosary Garden, the crowning of Mary, the Living Rosary, and renewal of consecration. A reception followed.
