Originally from South Africa, Father Pat Hartin, pastor of St. Paschal Parish in Spokane Valley, became a U.S. citizen last month. While St. Paschal School children sang patriotic songs to him at a reception held in his honor, Father Hartin was presented with – what else? – a baseball, a hot dog, apple pie, and a (toy) Chevrolet car.
