Glad to Be Catholicthe Inland Register (From the Dec. 15, 2005 edition of the Inland Register) At age 7, I remember being awestruck when I received my First Holy Communion. Jesus was truly being present in me! And I remember being weepy when my children (and now a grandchild!) received. When I take the Eucharist to the nursing home and see the faces of those with dementia light up when I show them the Eucharist, and they receive with a look of love and peace, as always, I’m glad to be Catholic.
— Peg Heimerman, St. John Vianney Parish, Spokane Valley
