Cataldo wins parochial football championship

 Cataldo School won the Spokane Parochial Football Championship for
7th-8th graders with an upset 24-6 victory over St. Thomas More on Oct. 23 at Gonzaga Prep. The Cataldo Cougars won with
two touchdowns over a previously ubeaten STM, which had yielded only one touchdown in the regular season. This was the
first season Gonzaga Prep managed parochial school football, an activity previously managed for many decades by the
