Help for Katrina victimsthe Inland Register (From the Oct. 20, 2005 edition of the Inland Register)
![]() Students from Guardian Angel-St. Boniface School, which serves the parishes in Colton and Uniontown, collected their loose change and held a bake sale, raising money to benefit the families struck by Hurricane Katrina. The result: a check for $935, donated to Catholic Charities. Classes also purchased backpacks and filled them with school supplies, joining the Washington State University Backpack Drive that collected over 7,000 school packs for the children of the gulf region. GASB students lived out their school’s motto: “Catholic – Caring – Community.” Pictured from left are Heather Young, Joe Faerber, Nick Schultheis, Royce Grassl, Meghan Heitstuman and Sam Faerber.
