The sixth graders of St. John Vianney School, Spokane Valley, held a car wash recently, with proceeds benefitting victims of Hurricane Katrina. The school’s eighth graders held three bake sales for the same purpose. Between the two classes, some $1,000 was raised and donated to Catholic Charities USA for hurricane disaster relief.
