The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women held their spring meeting April 13 at St. Charles Parish. A group of around 80 women attended, representing parishes from throughout the diocese. Father Eugene Glatt, the DCCW moderator, celebrated Mass for them. The afternoon saw a presentation on the diocese’s mission in Guatemala, by Jerry and Clara Monks. A raffle of two handmade rosaries, donated by Father Glatt, brought in over $100, which was donated to “Water for Life,” a national DCCW program that works for clean drinking water in Third World countries.
