Gonzaga Prep recently hosted area middle schoolers at the Bullpup Invitational speech contest held on Jan. 21. Over 150 students representing five schools participated.

Individual winners were:

Seventh Grade
Oratory: First: Brendan Duffey, Trinity. Second: Jessica Brisson, Assumption. Third: Cecilia Do, Trinity; Finalists: Michaela Barrett, Trinity; Joseph Ippolito, St. John Vianney; Gretchen Funston, Trinity.
Dramatic: First: Jennifer Rambo, St. John Vianney. Second: Matthew Coles, St. John Vianney. Third: Taylor Sims, Trinity; Finalists: Ross Miewald, Adam Crowley, and Rebecca Ryan, St. John Vianney.
Impromptu: First: Elizabeth Winkler, St. Mary. Second: Zach Heffernan, St. Mary. Third: Beverly Pray, Trinity; Finalists: Alyssa Elixman, Trinity; Sarah Metzger and Rachelle Fabros, St. Mary.

Eighth Grade
