Eastern Washington responds to international disaster

the Inland Register

(From the Jan. 13, 2005 edition of the Inland Register)

Response by the people of Eastern Washington to the enormous natural disaster in South Asia has been swift and extraordinarily generous. To date, Catholic Charities in Spokane has forwarded $74,963 given by 373 donors to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) for their work in the many countries affected by the earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean.

CRS is the U.S. bishops’ overseas development and emergency relief organization.

Catholic Charities forwards the entire donation received for relief directly to CRS. Contributions can be made to CRS through Catholic Charities, P.O. Box 1453, Spokane, WA 99210-1453. Please note “Tsunami Relief” on the check or envelope.
