Marriage Encounter

The Marriage Encounter movement in the Diocese of Spokane was well-represented at the national Marriage Encounter convention held this summer at Reed College in Portland, Ore. From left are Father John Birk, in residence at St. Patrick Parish, Pasco, and a chaplain at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco, and Tom and Kathy Dauer of St. Peter Parish, Spokane. Additionally, Bishop Skylstad, the Episcopal Moderator for ME, celebrated Sunday Mass with the group. The theme of the convention was “You Gotta Believe.” ME weekends are held in the Spokane Diocese at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, Spokane – call (509) 484-5683 – and in the Tri-Cities Area; call (509) 628-3347.
