Responding to the Gospel's call to visit the imprisoned, the Diocese coordinates a ministry to detainees at state and county penal institutions located in Eastern Washington. This ministry trains, supervises and assists volunteers who provide program support, religious education and worship services for inmates.

Individuals volunteering to serve in prison ministry commit to their continued spiritual growth in training, prayer and reflection and through participation in retreats and worship.
