The themes of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas’ annual educational contest are “Jesus the Light of the World” and “People Who Light up my World.”

The contest is open to Catholic students, grades 4-12, and adult members of the Catholic Daughters.

Areas in which fourth and fifth graders may compete are Essays, Poetry, Art, Posters, and Computer Art. Sixth and 12th graders may also compete in Music and Photography. Adult Catholic Daughters may compete in Poetry, Art, Computer Art, and Music.

The deadline date for submitting entries is Feb. 15, 2008.
