Part of his work will be implementation of the pastoral plan “Come to the Light.” Initiatives will include outreach to rural areas, the New Evangelization, and work in the Indian parishes of the diocese. The Pastoral and Renewal Services Office also supports diocesan social justice education and ministry outreach, and Frei will be the liaison between the diocese and the Montana Catholic Conference, the Montana Association of Churches, and Catholic Social Services f Montana. HARLOWTON – Irene Jones Coatta was driving with her husband through Central Montana in 2005. They stopped in Harlowton and noticed that the Catholic Church’s windows were only partially painted. She volunteered to return and finish the job. A bout with breast cancer intruded on her plans, but this past summer, the couple arrived in town in their RV. The next day they began cleaning and repairing the windows of St. Joseph Church. Twenty days later, the job was completed. Father Jeff Benusa gave them a recognition plaque at the last Mass they attended in the parish.
