To help kick off Catholic Schools Week (CSW), Trinity School, Spokane, had a new Principal for a Day. Fifth grader Daniel Vera was given the job after his parents won the bid for the position at the school’s annual auction last November. Vera helped answer phone calls, learned some new office-related computer skills, helped run a fire drill, and supervised the lunchroom and recess. The best part? “Helping run the fire drill,” he said. Trinity is an interparochial school serving the parishes of St. Anthony and St. Joseph. Trinity’s students and staff had a great time celebrating CSW, capping off the event by honoring volunteers and pastors at Mass on Friday, Feb. 2. (IR photo from Trinity School, Spokane)
