Sister Rosella Kreuzer of the School Sisters of Notre Dame died Dec. 3 at Good Counsel Convent, Mankato, Minn. She was 94 years old.
She was born in Spokane and attended St. Joseph School, where she was taught by the School Sisters of Notre Dame beginning in fourth grade. She entered candidature in 1928 at the age of 16. She finished high school and her first year of college during that period, before entering the novitiate in 1930. In time she earned her bachelor’s degree from Holy Names College, Spokane, and a master’s degree in library science from the University of Portland, Ore. Sister Rosella taught in several different schools during her many years of ministry, including Spokane, Clarkston, Chewelah, and Colton. She also served as head reference librarian for Gonzaga University and as reference and research librarian at North American College, Rome, for five years. She retired to the Motherhouse in 2000.
