Kendra O’Dea, middle school teacher at St. Mary School in Spokane Valley, reads from her book titled The Stolen Sleigh at a local Starbucks on Dec. 5. The event was attended by families from St. Mary Catholic School and was open to the public. The book, illustrated by Sarah McGovern, tells the story of what happens when one of Santa’s elves borrows his sleigh. The Stolen Sleigh is published locally by Marquette Custom Publishing.
