Bishop Skylstad ordains three for diocesan ministrythe Inland Register (From the Jan. 12, 2006 edition of the Inland Register) On Wednesday, Dec. 21, Bishop William Skylstad ordained three men for ministry in the Diocese of Spokane. Gustavo Ruiz, a seminarian studying at Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon, was ordained a deacon. Deacons Vincent Dao and Peter Amah were ordained priests. Father Dao has been assigned as parochial vicar of St. Thomas More Parish, Spokane; Father Amah, as parochial vicar of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, Spokane.

The newly ordained join Bishop Skylstad at the altar: Father Vincent Dao, Deacon Gustavo Ruiz, Deacon Edward Schafer of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, and Father Peter Amah.
