During Mass July 19 in the chapel at Bishop White Seminary, David Kuttner (right) declared his candidacy for Holy Orders. Kuttner is the son of Bernadine and Dave Kuttner. He is a native of Spokane; his parents are members of St. Thomas More Parish. Currently, Kuttner is assigned to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes for a summer of pastoral ministry. In the fall he will begin his second year of theological studies, at North American College in Rome. Pictured with Kuttner and Bishop Skylstad is Deacon Peter Amah, a fourth-year seminarian studying at The Catholic Univeristy of America, Washington, D.C.
