The vigil was April 10 at 5 p.m. at Hennessey Smith Funeral Home; the funeral Mass was celebrated April 11 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Spokane. Burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery. She was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She married her husband, J. Edward McInerney, in 1934. He passed away in 1999. Besides working for the IR, she was a secretary at Spokane Utilities. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Women’s Club, and the Mystical Rose Guild. She is survived by her sons Richard, Robert, Brian, and William McInerney; her daughter, Lonna Stowe; a sister, Marcella Matson; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Poor Clare nuns, 4419 N. Hawthorne, Spokane, WA 99205.
