The children in the religious education program at St. Joseph Parish, Otis Orchards, were encouraged to bring school supplies and $1 every Sunday in January as donations to the Tsunami relief effort. A total of $213.17 was collected and sent to Catholic Relief Services, the U.S. bishops’ overseas development and relief organization. The school supplies were given to a school affected by the disaster, thanks to the efforts of first grader Elizabeth Thielen. (IR photo from St. Joseph Parish, Otis Orchards)
