The fifth graders at St. Mary School, Spokane Valley, presented “ways we are called to Act Justly, Bring Hope” – the theme of the Lenten observances at the parish this year. Their presentation focused on making a difference, no matter how large the task. Four skits talked about Operation Rice Bowl, funds for Tsunami relief, sending school supplies to Iraq, and Meals on Wheels – and how the efforts of children and young people really do make a difference.
