On Oct. 31, the House of Charity welcomed 425 guests to its annual Poor Man’s Meal, a lunch of soup and bread hosted by Bishop William S. Skylstad that benefits the House of Charity’s Winter Sleeping Program. Special honors were given to Clarence Omine, a 20-year volunteer who does kitchen chores with goodwill and vigor.
