(IR photo from the Campaign for the Education of Seminarians) The "Here I am, Lord, Send Me" campaign is making great progress in reaching its goal of raising $10 million to support the education of seminarians.
The $10 million goal breaks down this way: As of Wednesday, March 10, the campaign office has received pledges and gifts totaling $4,122,084 from 1,574 gifts. This represents 41 percent of the overall goal of $10 million, from less than 6 percent of diocesan families. Block I of the campaign, which was held September through December of 2003, included 10 parishes in the southern region of the diocese. The total goal for Block I parishes was to raise $992,000. At press time the parishes raised $1,092,256 110 percent of their goal. Currently the campaign is now in the Spokane parishes with goals totaling $6,386,651 from 29 parishes. As of March 10, the campaign office has received gifts and pledges totaling $1,901,268 for Block II parishes, from 462 pledges. Commitment weekend will be March 20-21 in the Block II parishes. Please pray for the continued success of the campaign. (Inman is Executive Director of the Here I Am, Lord, campaign.)
