Who really discovered America? This question was debated by Cataldo eighth graders in their history class. Each student represented an explorer, stated that individual’s case, and answered questions by a master of ceremonies as to why they thought they discovered the Americas. Audience members consisting of other eighth graders were asked to take notes during the presentations and in the end had to vote on who really made the discovery.
