Some 60 individuals from throughout the diocese gathered last month to learn about the realities of economic disparity in the United States. Among those addressing the group were Steve Schnapp of United for a Fair Economy, Boston, and Joann Kennedy Frazer of the Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), the U.S. bishops’ effort to combat the root causes of poverty.
